The Avesso das Palavras is a multi-disciplinary performance where, side by side, are placed the words taken from the two volumes "No Avesso das Horas" bySara Martins and "A Fonte das Palavras" byTiago Marcos, wrapped in sound environments processed live by Luís Caracinha. For the creation of the space and time propitious to the words that from poem to poem, from author to author, invite the spectator by the most dense side of them. Two interpreters, light, sound and image are the ingredients for the creation of the space and time propitious to the words that from poem to poem, from author to author, invite the spectator on their densest side. With a duration of 30 minutes, the show is produced by Epopeia - Make It Happen with Ricardo Branco on sound, Didier Grelha na Iluminação and Ana Neto on production. About the artistsSara MartinsSara is 24 years old and a native of Monchique. It was there, in a period of discovery, that her interest in reading sparked between Fernando Pessoa and Cesário Verde: two great masters who led her to read even more. The need to write joined her taste for observation and reading and thus her first poems were born. In 2015, Sara Martins moved from the mountains to the city and moved to Faro. Between high school and college, she decided to take some time off for herself and focused on writing. Currently, Sara has a degree in Communication Design from the School of Education and Communication of the University of the Algarve and works in the profession. In 2019 she published "No Avesso das Horas", her first book, and participated in EDITA Punta Umbria where she debuted as a declamator. In "No Avesso das Palavras" she is responsible for the words, taken from her book "No Avesso das Horas", and interpretation. Tiago MarcosTiago da Piedade Marcos was born in Cuba on March 9, 1987. In 2003 he discovered that words can take on greater meaning than himself, beginning that year to dirty paper in the often vain hope of echo. Thus the first poetic texts appeared in 2003. In 2008, immersed in classical culture and pantheistic paganism, with the desire to discover more fundamental values to man, he founded together with Luís Caracinha the Sphinx Project for which he has been writing lyrics ever since. As a performer he has maintained individual and collective participation in national and international events such as EDITA (Punta Umbria), Cordas à Conversa (with João Cuña and Pedro Monteiro), Chá de leitura (Ode - Associação Artístico-Cultural), among others. In addition, he has given creative writing workshops in Alentejo and Algarve. In "No Avesso das Palavras" he is responsible for the words taken from his book "A Fonte das Palavras" and interpretation. Luís CaracinhaLuís Caracinha is a designer and creative director and has put his creativity and technical skills at the disposal of cultural enjoyment both as a designer and as a musician. His portfolio includes works by authors such as Esfinge (a Portuguese song inspired by the legacy of Greek mythology), The Mirandas, the short film "A Corda" and, more recently, Riding a Meteor as well as a wide range of collaborations with other national and international artists. In "No Avesso das Palavras" he is responsible for the sonoplasty and live sound. This event is organized by Epopeia Books (literary publisher that promotes small-scale editions) and Oficina (which is simultaneously a space for the construction and deconstruction of realities and a team specialized in the areas of planning, evaluation and promotion of participatory democracy). And it has the support of Divam, República Portuguesa e Direção Regional do Algarve. "No Avesso das Palavras" will have a place in the Fortaleza de Sagres, , on 21/11/2020 at 16h. The show will be limited to 25 people and to guarantee your place you will have to make a prior reservation, from the email info@cultalg.pt. ✓ T R A N S P A R E N C Y
