"I PARTICIPATE" award has as its objective not only "to value active citizenship initiatives, promoted by young people, aimed at fostering solidarity and mutual help, as well as alleviating the social isolation of the population in the context of the current health crisis caused by the coronavirus".
"This initiative gives visibility to active citizenship, a word that is often spoken but not always known, and the "I participate" award is a good example of this"
Among the 15 contestants, after the jury's evaluation, composed by 4 elements, chose Marisa Alves, from Faro as the winner of the prize "for her decisive role in the promotion of the CovidAlgarve project".

The gift's prizes are extended to practices classified in 2nd and 3rd places. Nelson Dias on behalf of the technical secretariat of the network (Oficina Association) congratulated the work of CovidAlgarve stating that "The project is a source of inspiration for all of us because with few resources but, with your time and with your work, you have managed to mobilize a very broad institutional network of municipalities, universities and other entities that decided to delegate resources to you to support you in this work". "The main objective of the prize is to give visibility and also to praise the merit of many young people who have mobilised for their country in a spirit of solidarity, especially to support people in more complicated situations in this Quarantine period."
