Faro supports culture with a new edition of the "Emergente" program and more "Bands to the Figures

New measures to support culture and cultural agents were launched by Faro City Hall. He announced that the "Emergent" program will have a second edition and that there will be a new initiative of streaming concerts, the #FaroMúsicaNaRua, in various locations around the county.

"Culture is one of the sectors most affected by the measures enacted to contain and mitigate the pandemic by Covid-19," says the municipality in a press release.
Therefore, Faro City Hall has prepared a package of four extraordinary measures where the support to associativism, artistic creation and cultural agents stands out.
The second edition of the artistic program Emergente - 2º Ciclo will consist of a program of artistic residencies, the results of which will be presented in 2022 at Teatro das Figuras, in exhibitions held by the municipality or its partners, in public spaces or in initiatives organized by the Municipality of Faro.
After the success of the first edition, the cycle "Bandas ao Figuras" will return, this year, to Teatro das Figuras, "to give stage to the vibrant music scene of the region".
"Scheduled to begin in April, the Bandas ao Figuras - 2nd Cycle consists of a program of concerts performed using all the technical conditions of the large auditorium, with streaming broadcast by the digital platforms of the Teatro das Figuras and the Municipality of Faro."

Applications for these projects are open and the application forms are available until March 12 on the Teatro das Figuras and the Municipality of Faro websites, where you can access additional information about the projects.
