This open call is to find a cast for the new co-production of Companhia João Garcia Miguel and Teatro das Figuras, «A Gaivota».
Actors, professional or amateur, can apply until February 20th, through an entirely online process, and then the selection, rehearsals and editing of the show will take place in Faro.

The Seagull is an original play built from three axes: Anton Tchekov's "The Seagull"; a true transgender story and a fictional biography. The intention is to build a performative text that, through chaos and bodies, crosses the notions of transsexuality, identity, humanity, and reinvention, in opposition to the concept of extinction.
For those interested in working on this paid production, they should send their Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter to the email firstname.lastname@example.org, explaining their motivation and interest in the project.
After the application period, the selected candidates will participate in a casting that will take place at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro.
After this process, ten actors will be selected for a five-day workshop, at a time and place to be determined, and where the final cast will be found.
The play will be presented in Faro and Lisbon, in April and May, and there may be changes according to the pandemic evolution and the safety norms in force of the General Direction of Health.
