IndieLisboa International Film Festival focuses on the exhibition of works that fill the void of film circulation shaped by the mainstream production and exhibition dominating the market. Every year, showing more than 270 films, IndieLisboa attracts audiences and film professionals from all over the globe by giving them the opportunity to discover recent films from emerging talents.
The winner of Feature Film Grand Prize City of Lisbon is THE FEVER by director Maya Da-Rin. This film explores the pressures of a modern and urban lifestyle. Maya Da-Rin observes the everyday life of the characters with patience and kindness. Her film shows a great sensitivity for the particular mix of cityscape, river and forest which is so characteristic of Manaus. The film is a highly accomplished exploration of the predicament indigenous people face in contemporary Brazil.”

In the category of Short Film Grand Prize the winner is TENDRE by Isabel Pagliai. This is a film full of life, in which innocence and perversity are the two points on the map of a game in which the director risks, comes close, takes a stand.
Best Animation Award goes to THIS MEANS MORE by Nicolas Gourault.
The title of Best Documentary Award is this year held by Tim Alsiofi from Lebanon with his DOUMA UNDERGROUND.
The jury decided to give the Best Fiction Award to Paul Heintz for his SHĀNZHÀI SCREENS, a film that is also a documentary. A creative and inventive portrait of an industry that questions the idea of originality and explores relationships between natural and artificial, east and west, analog and digital, simulation and simulacrum.”
The lucky winner of Allianz Award for Best Portuguese Feature Film is O FIM DO MUNDO by
Basil da Cunha.
Award for Best Directing in a Portuguese Feature Film went to Catarina Vasconcelos for THE METAMORPHOSIS OF BIRDS, for the tender and moving way of dealing with paternal and maternal relationships, love and absence.
Dolce Gusto Award for Best Portuguese Short Film was received by MEINE LIEBE by Clara Jost, and CORTE created by Bernardo Rapazote e Afonso Rapazote.
The Yellow Color + Portugal Film Brand New Award went to CONTRAFOGO by Carolina Vieira. In this category we have a Special Mention of NESTORcreated by João Gonzalez from Portugal.
Silvestre Award for Best Feature Film was given to EX-AEQUO, BURNING NIGHT by Eryk Rocha, and ALL THE DEAD ONES by Caetano Gotardo e Marco Dutra.
Synthesis film about the filmic apparatus itself, where we are invited to look inside the images, in the projected plans and revealed by the hand that leads us and summons poetic images between the real and the imaginary. We see what the hands allow, we see what our knowledge allows - APPARITION by Ismaïl Bahri won the Silvestre Award for Best Short Film.
IndieMusic Award went to EX-AEQUO, WHITE RIOT by Rubika Shah, and KEYBOARD FANTASIES: THE BEVERLY GLENN – COPELAND STORY by Posy Dixon.
O FIM DO MUNDO by Basil da Cunha won also Árvore da Vida Award for Best Portuguese Film.
DOUMA UNDERGROUND byTim Alsiofi scored also another prize the Amnesty International Award.
